Taking the time to decide what you want

Gemma Gosden

16 December 2016

You may find that on the run up to Christmas the day to day aspects of ‘normal life’ start to slow down. This is a perfect opportunity to take some time to focus on yourself for a few minutes a day.

Focus on you for a minute

That focus could be used to think more about what it is that excites and motivates you in the attempt to create goals and aspirations for 2017.

They say you can only remain stagnant if you don’t have clear goals at the forefront of your mind. BUT. If you don’t have a clue where you want to go from here how do you create any in the first place?

Where to start?

The answer is to step away from the 24/7 life for a minute. Look inside yourself and really think about what it is that you want for the coming year. It doesn’t matter how you do it. Meditate, go for a walk or swim or go for a drive without the radio on. Do something to shut out the noise for a brief moment.

When everyday life is as busy and non stop as it tends to be it’s so difficult to stop and think about where you’re going and if it’s right for you. If this is something you do every year or every once in a while then great! If not and you want a starting point, Girl did Good have created that for you for free.

The Girl did Good 7 Day Challenge

So all you need to do is sign up for our GDG updates. We always make sure we send out valuable content in our emails and never spam or bombard you with stuff. In return we’ll send you the link to our downloadable 7 Day Challenge.

The idea is that for 7 days you’ll answer 4 really easy questions about your day. All questions have been designed to get you thinking about what it is that excites and motivates you in life.

At the end of the 7 days, take the time to read through all your answers and see what you have. You may find that what you have written could help lead you down a path you otherwise might not have thought of.

We would love to know how you got on, so get in touch and let us know : )
