What exactly is that?
I am a teacher and head of faculty. I also run my own creative business.
How did you get there?
I did a degree followed by teacher training. I then became a mum and decided to give my creative outlet a go.
Tell us about a typical day in your life.
I get up at 6am and get my son ready for school.
I then spend 1 hour before school starts getting jobs done.
At the end of the teaching day I spend some time with my son and put him to bed. I then focus on my business, get orders done, send out invoices etc.
What’s the best thing about what you do?
I can be creative. That time becomes my me time and I can clear my head.
What’s the one thing you would change if you could?
I would stop teaching and give a year on building my business.
What did you want to do for a living when you were at school?
Be a music producer.
Tell us about something you were insecure about when you were at school.
I want 100% certain what I wanted to become.
I followed my dad’s advice and got a degree first and that opened up so many doors for me. I can now live and work anywhere in the world because I have that piece of paper.
What advice would you give yourself at 18 if you could?
Study hard to get the best grades you can. Enjoy uni and follow your dreams.
What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
Make baby items for my business.
